"Nagar" grade which is the highest grade Guggul (Commiphora wightii) is imported from the Nagarparker region of Pakistan. This grade is considered to be the purest form of guggal resin on the market. Common names are Gum Guggul, Guggulu, Commiphora Wightii, Gugal, Guggul, Indian Bdellium-tree or Mukul Myrrh tree.
This amazing resin is dark brown and black and has a hard tar like consistency. The aroma is strong sweet and earthy, like marshmallows over a campfire. Historically its believed to drive away evil spirits as well as remove the evil eye from the home and its family members. It has been a key component in ancient Indian Ayurvedic system of traditional medicine for more than 3,000 years and its used for many ailments to this day.
