Boswellia Dalzielii is a widely distributed frankincense species in Africa. It grows from the Ivory Coast through Central Africa. The Dalzielii tree is an inhabitant of the wooded savanna that produces small white flowers with a red center and are very fragrant. In parts of Africa the tree is sporadically planted by locals as a live-fence to bring prosperity know as "ba-samu" or to ward off ("hanu") bad luck.
